Watford’s Home for Independent Beer & Proper Conversation

Tucked away on the Vicarage Road precinct, we are a small, independent micropub with a simple philosophy; great beer and even better company. We are a stone’s throw from Watford FC, and we certainly love the bustling energy of match days, but we aren’t a football pub. At our heart, we are a neighbourhood pub where community always comes first.

Our pub is one room with inward-facing bench seating. There are no loud TVs or fruit machines here; the space is entirely designed to get people talking. We are fiercely proud to be an LGBTQ+ friendly venue, and we believe wholeheartedly that absolutely everyone deserves to feel safe, welcome, and respected when they walk through our doors.

We take our drinks seriously, which is why we are incredibly proud to be CAMRA award winners. You will exclusively find independent breweries on our cask and craft keg lines. We also stock a great range of still and fizzy ciders, and our craft fridge is always packed with cans, bottles, and the occasional Belgian beer or German lager for those looking to try something different.

Award-Winning Pints & Proper Cider

We’re Kat and Michael, we built this pub because we wanted to create the kind of place we love drinking in; a space where the beer is always independent, the atmosphere is always warm, and you can actually hear the person sitting across from you.

Whether you are a seasoned craft beer aficionado looking to talk hops, or you just want a quiet corner and a crisp lager after a long week, we can't wait to welcome you in and pour you a pint.
